The Risk of a Post-Inflation Deflationary Year -
Most commodities decline in price over time vs. the stock market and gold, and 2026 might be leaning toward a post-inflation deflationary year. The $5.07 peak on Dec. 5 in the average of natural gas, corn and copper prices may prove durable -- possibly pointing back toward $3.30.
