Using AI to analyze why Big Bro Machi went from making tens of millions to losing $47M?
1. Small wins, big losses: High win rate of 76%, but poor risk-reward ratio at 0.12. Average holding time for winning trades is about 31.06 hours, while losing trades average 109.12 hours. He tends to take small profits quickly but holds onto losing trades, even to the point of liquidation. No clear take-profit or stop-loss strategy, relying on subjective judgment instead.
2. Perma-bull: 164 long positions vs. 10 short positions. Huge losses on longs, while all shorts were profitable. Almost exclusively long with very few shorts, missing out on shorting opportunities. Massive losses during choppy or bearish markets.
3. Oversized positions in high-risk assets: Took excessively large positions in highly volatile coins like XPL (average position $3.5M) and PUMP (average $511M), leading to massive losses. Over 75% of trades were concentrated in HYPE, PUMP, ETH, and XPL, with combined losses of around $45M. BTC performed well but was underutilized.
4. FOMO-driven: After making big profits in August, trading frequency surged in September-October during volatile periods. Losses worsened toward the end of the year, possibly due to revenge trading or FOMO.
