I know The Pinnacle has raised environmental concerns, which is why I held detailed discussions with NEPA to ensure the development remains sustainable, responsible, and aligned with the long-term vision for Montego Bay. My focus is to support growth while protecting the natural assets that define our country. Montego Bay’s appeal comes from its sun, sea, and sand, along with the qualities of safety, security, and seamlessness that shape our tourism product. As we modernize our buildings and strengthen our infrastructure, we must preserve the elements that make Jamaica authentic. I also want to emphasize the need for clean streets and well-kept frontages in this tourism corridor. During my visit, I saw areas that reflect pride and others that need attention. This is a municipal issue that must be addressed, because every property contributes to the overall presentation of the area.(Andrew Holness)
