BBC wanted to write another negative piece. But Erik instead challenged BBC's journalist Joe Tidy "Why don't you come down to Zambia yourself. Don't trust me. Speak to the power companies, speak to the villagers and make up your own mind" After the visit, it was impossible for Joe to write the piece he'd originally had in mind. Instead the miraculous occurred: the BBC compile a thorough piece of investigative research showing the social benefits of Bitcoin mining, and the piece helped shift the narrative on Bitcoin mining.
