Yesterday, I experienced my first-ever wallet hack since entering the crypto world—lost about $5,000, thankfully not a huge amount. Spent the entire day yesterday organizing my wallets, planning to withdraw all the funds, switch to a new computer, and set up a new wallet. While sorting things out, I had some unexpected surprises. Found funds in a lot of old wallets. For example, I had interacted with zkSync Lite before, and there were funds left there that I hadn’t transferred back. Also, one wallet had bought Base’s Toshi, and to my surprise, it’s now worth over $10,000. Even though $5,000 was stolen, I ended up organizing over $30,000 in total—guess you could say it’s a blessing in disguise. This incident was a wake-up call for me, and I want to remind everyone to prioritize fund security during the bear market. I’ll continue organizing my wallets today and will document the process in more detail later. I’ll also share the scammer’s website to help everyone avoid falling into the same trap.
