[Under Heavy Tariff Pressure, Republican Lawmakers Seek Trump's Help for Agricultural Equipment] Jin10 News, December 11 – According to CNBC, facing tariff pressure, U.S. Republican lawmakers are seeking help from Trump for agricultural equipment. Although Trump has allocated $12 billion to aid farmers who have suffered losses due to his trade policies, Republican lawmakers continue to urge him to provide further agricultural assistance and to offer relief to agricultural equipment manufacturers. Farmers have stated that Trump's tariff policies have impacted their minimum income needed to sustain operations, as they rely on exports to international trade competitors for survival. To make matters worse, several consecutive years of low agricultural product prices and the high costs of key inputs like fertilizers have forced farmers to tighten their belts. Kip Eideberg, head of government and industry relations at the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, said: "We remain concerned that persistently high tariffs, especially on critical components that cannot be sourced domestically, will inadvertently harm our farmers and ranchers and increase costs for all Americans."
