JPMORGAN HANDS $1,000 TO EMPLOYEES EARNING UNDER $80,000 JPMorgan will award up to $1,000 to employees earning less than $80,000, CEO Jamie Dimon said in a staff memo. U.S. employees who participate in the 401(k) plan will receive the payment as a retirement contribution; non-U.S. staff will receive cash. Eligibility requires one year of service and a title of vice president or below. JPMorgan has issued similar annual payments for over a decade. The announcement comes as investors focus on rising firm expenses, which pressured the stock this week.(*Walter Bloomberg)
