[Cathie Wood: Institutional Entry Will Break Bitcoin's Four-Year Cycle]
Odaily Planet Daily reports that Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood stated in an interview with Fox Business that the massive influx of institutional investors into Bitcoin will 'break' Bitcoin's historical four-year cycle. Cathie Wood believes that institutional entry into this new asset class will prevent Bitcoin's price from experiencing larger declines, and Bitcoin's volatility is decreasing. She also pointed out that Bitcoin is now playing the role of a 'risk-on asset,' contrasting with gold, which leans more toward being a 'risk-off asset.'
Additionally, UK bank Standard Chartered expressed a similar view in a report released earlier this week, suggesting that the emergence of ETFs has rendered the traditional Bitcoin halving cycle irrelevant as a price driver. Standard Chartered has revised its Bitcoin price forecast for 2025 from $200,000 down to $100,000.
