Wu Blockchain has learned that South Korea's largest crypto exchange, Upbit, announced it will increase the proportion of user assets stored in cold wallets (offline) to 99% and reduce the hot wallet proportion to the 0% range after a previous incident where 44.5 billion KRW worth of assets were stolen by hackers from a hot wallet. The wallet system adjustment has now been completed, far exceeding South Korea's regulatory requirement of 80% cold storage.
