[Hassett Most Likely to Succeed as Fed Chair, Yet Least Popular] Odaily Planet Daily News: Although the market widely expects White House National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett to be appointed as the next Federal Reserve Chair, respondents in a CNBC Fed survey have clearly indicated that he is not their top choice. The December survey shows that 84% of respondents believe U.S. President Trump will nominate Hassett to lead the Federal Reserve. However, only 11% think the President 'should' do so. Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller received support from 47% of respondents, ranking first, while Kevin Warsh followed closely with a 23% approval rate. Nonetheless, only 5% of respondents believe Trump will nominate either of these two individuals. (Jin10)
