The Russian government plans to advance the crypto regulatory framework next year, proposing criminal liability for illegal mining activities and administrative penalties for minor violations. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stated that the country will fully regulate the circulation of digital currencies and intensify crackdowns on electricity theft for mining and unregistered mining farms. Although mining has been legalized in Russia, less than one-third of mining companies are registered, and some regions have already implemented mining bans due to power shortages.
Regulatory authorities are working with the police, power grid operators, and the FSB to strengthen inspections, using smart meters, network monitoring, and drone thermal imaging to locate mining farms. (cryptopolitan) https://www.(wublock123.com)/index.php?m=content&c=index&a=show&catid=6&id=53227
