There was a period of time when I didn’t follow @brevis_zk. Today, I checked out their latest updates, and their ProverNet mainnet beta officially launched on December 8. Their CEO Michael predicts that within the next 10 years, 99% of blockchain application computations will happen off-chain, verified through ZK proofs. If this prediction comes true, then the supply-demand matching for ZK proofs will become the next trillion-dollar market. What ProverNet aims to do is to be the clearing layer + scheduling layer for this market. Apps won’t need to buy GPUs themselves, provers won’t need to find clients on their own, and ZK will no longer be isolated pipelines but an open computational power network. If you’re a Web3 user, this might become the scalable foundation for countless on-chain applications in the future.
