[Data: The number of Bitcoin wallets holding more than 0.1 BTC has not grown for two consecutive years]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, since the Bitcoin network launched in 2009, the number of independent addresses holding a balance of more than 0.1 BTC has grown annually up until 2023. However, over the past 24 months, this group has been continuously shrinking.
Specific data shows that from December 8, 2023, to the present, the number of such addresses has decreased from 4,548,107 to 4,443,541.
A graphical analysis of this metric reveals that, despite several short-term fluctuations lasting a few months during this period, the overall number of independent addresses showed a steady upward trend, peaking in December 2023.
Entering 2024, this data remained stagnant for most of the time before starting to decline, eventually falling to what can now be described as a historic two-year low.
