I've been using the EtherFi card for a few weeks now, and its probably one of the best crypto card products out there right now due to the following:
- Zero crypto <--> fiat fees
Only fees are FX, which is an unavoidable 1% fee charged by Visa/Mastercard when going in and out of your local currency
Ex. If you deposit USD stables and pay in USD there’s no FX at all, but if you deposit BTC or ETH, or if you pay in EUR, AED or any other currency, you’ll incur the FX.
- Earn 2-3% cashback with any purchase
It’s paid in the Scroll token (lol), but you can sell it in a few clicks
- Yield on balance deposits
You can deposit USDC, HYPE, BTC, ETH in the liquid vaults, earn yield (USDC is ~10-12% APY currently), and spend directly from them
Important to note that there is still inherent defi related risk as vaults are operated by a 3rd party.
If you want to be safer you can set up cover at around 3.5% APR (but it doesn't cover depeg or infra related losses)
Overall solid product if you’re okay with going through KYC (which applies to all cards fwiw)
Is anyone else shifting more spending onto crypto cards, or am i the only one?
This post is not sponsored but limited time juiced incentives for spend and ref volume so had to make at least 1 post about it(Insightful)
