[Curve Founder: Setting Input Limits Can Completely Prevent Attacks Similar to yETH and Balancer]
According to discussions on Platform X, multiple developers believe that while the yETH attack was attributed to fuzzing discovery, the actual attack path was complex and may have involved gradually amplifying the impact after identifying an exploitable original vulnerability. Curve founder Michael Egorov stated that fuzzing can reveal failures in mathematical functions, and setting input limits can completely prevent attacks similar to yETH and Balancer.
Last week, it was reported that Yearn's yETH pool attack was as complex as the previous Balancer attack.
