The current price is fluctuating around 89,000 again. Weekend movements are minimal—if the U.S. stock market doesn’t move, BTC doesn’t move either…
A 25 basis point rate cut this week is pretty much a given. The market is more focused on next week’s yen rate hike, which is a potential bearish factor. If the rate hike happens, there’s a chance we’ll revisit recent lows.
As for USDT, I think if we can just make a small effort to slightly change our trading habits, we might be able to avoid a disaster. So why not?
Will it collapse? I don’t know. But what I can do is eliminate this kind of risk. The cost of wrongdoing for USDT is way too low. When one player dominates the market, bad behavior is almost inevitable. What we need to do is reduce its market share—don’t let it monopolize the market. That’s the only way to minimize market risks.
I really can’t imagine what kind of disaster it would bring to the crypto world if USDT actually collapsed. Can you imagine?
