If the Ethereum chain takes the lead in implementing privacy, it could cause some funds to flow from BTC/Zcash to the Ethereum chain. Even if it's not BTC → ETH, it would at least be BTC → WBTC.
Based on the current plan, full L1 privacy-friendly implementation is estimated to take at least 2-3 years.
