Visa, Mastercard, and thus USD continue to win because of entrenched network effects (I want to transact where everyone transacts) which in turn makes the best product for facilitating exchange. The dollar isn't a good store of value but is likely the best MoE in human history.(𝐓𝐗𝐌𝐂)
