Previously, on April 13, 2022, the China Internet Finance Association had jointly issued the 'Initiative on Preventing Financial Risks Related to NFTs,' resolutely curbing the tendency of NFT financialization and securitization, strictly preventing risks of illegal financial activities, and consciously adhering to codes of conduct. The joint statement calls on member organizations: - Not to directly or indirectly invest in NFTs or provide financing support for NFT investments. - Not to weaken the non-fungible characteristics of NFTs through methods such as fractional ownership or bulk creation, or to conduct disguised Token issuance financing (ICO). - Not to include financial assets such as securities, insurance, credit, or precious metals in the underlying goods of NFTs, or to issue and trade financial products in disguise.
