How many people in this industry truly deserve the title of 'industry contributor'? Michael Saylor from MicroStrategy, CZ, Heyi, Xu Mingxing, Vitalik (V God), and maybe Jeff this time—honestly, you can count them on one hand. The titles are too grand. None of us really deserve this so-called industry contribution award. If someone truly contributes to the industry, they’ll be recognized by the community without needing a label. Do KOLs have labels? Of course they do. Those who rely on their looks and selfies to gain attention are seen as eye candy or welfare queens by the community. Those who stir up drama and thrive on negative traffic are viewed as clowns. And those who network excessively for mutual follows are either blocked or hidden by the community. If you want a certain audience or want to become a certain type of person, then do the things that align with that. You reap what you sow. Even an authoritative institution like Binance can’t just slap labels on people and expect community recognition. That’s the essence of decentralization.
