Bitfury Announces Increase in Investment in Gonka to $50 Million, Fully Committing to Decentralized AI Computing Power

Following its previous purchase of 20 million GNK tokens for $12 million, Bitfury has announced that it will officially raise its overall strategic investment in Gonka to $50 million, becoming one of the key pillars of this decentralized AI computing power network. The pledged $50 million will be used to accelerate the development of the Gonka protocol and ecosystem, driving the expansion and global adoption of its efficient GPU network infrastructure. The Gonka team highlighted that the network utilizes a PoW (Proof-of-Work) model designed for real-world AI inference/training tasks, enabling contributors ranging from single GPUs to large data centers to directly participate in computing power sharing without relying on traditional cloud service providers or centralized computing power providers. Since its official launch in August 2025, Gonka's distributed GPU network has expanded rapidly. The current network computing power is equivalent to the scale of 6,000 H100 GPUs, demonstrating its actual hardware capacity and potential to rival traditional cloud computing platforms. Bitfury stated that its investment in Gonka is not just a capital injection but also a strategic endorsement of the concept of "open, decentralized AI infrastructure centered on productive computing power.
