**[Europe's Largest Financial App Revolut Launches "Street Mode" to Combat Phone Theft, Aave Founder Criticizes with Sarcasm]** Odaily Planet Daily News: X platform fintech blogger @oost_marcel revealed that Europe's largest financial app, Revolut, with 65 million users, has launched "Street Mode," hailed as one of the smartest security upgrades in the fintech sector this year. Reportedly, due to the surge in phone theft cases across Europe, criminal methods have also evolved: robbers now force victims to complete selfie verification before fleeing. This trend has been dubbed "transfer robbery." Revolut's solution is "context-aware security." The feature allows users to set "trusted locations" (such as home, office, or hotel). Outside these areas, transfers exceeding a set limit will trigger additional selfie verification and a one-hour delay restriction. This one-hour window is critical, enabling users or anti-fraud teams to freeze funds in time. In comparison, traditional banks' security measures are static, whereas Revolut's "Street Mode" dynamically adjusts rules based on the environment. Over 1 million users have already activated its wealth protection feature. In response, Aave founder Stani commented sharply: "London's street crime rate remains high, and fintech companies are adapting their products to enhance user safety." Previously, it was reported that Uniswap now supports cryptocurrency purchases via Revolut, with zero fees when using the built-in payment app Revolut Pay to buy cryptocurrencies.
