[AI Company Anthropic Still Considering IPO and Plans to Negotiate New Funding Round at $300 Billion Valuation]
According to a report by Fortune Magazine, AI company Anthropic is in discussions for a new round of venture capital funding, with an expected valuation of $300 billion. Additionally, the company has hired California-based law firm Wilson Sonsini to provide consulting services for its IPO, aiming for a public listing in 2026. Analysts believe that going public will bring Anthropic substantial capital, enabling it to compete with Sam Altman’s OpenAI. Research published by Deutsche Bank analysts Adrian Cox and Stefan Abrudan indicates that OpenAI’s business has certain weaknesses, with consumer subscription growth for its ChatGPT product slowing down, while Anthropic is seen as having a clearer path to profitability compared to OpenAI.
