Central banks in emerging markets such as Poland, Brazil, and Uzbekistan were active in gold purchases, highlighting gold's role as a strategic reserve. Year-to-date official net gold purchases have reached 254 tons, with Poland leading at 83 tons. WGC surveys show that 95% of central banks expect to continue increasing their gold holdings in the coming year.
