Today marks the first official visit of the President of Ukraine to Ireland since diplomatic relations were established between our countries. We have approved the Roadmap on Ukraine-Ireland Partnership for at least the next five years, and the relevant document has been signed. During our meeting, I informed Taoiseach @MichealMartinTD and his team about our talks for peace. We discussed in detail the entire bilateral agenda – energy and humanitarian assistance, Ireland’s support for Ukraine’s EU membership, the pressure on Russia, sanctions, the use of frozen Russian assets, the need to hold Russia accountable for its aggression, as well as our humanitarian and cultural cooperation. I thank Ireland for the entire journey we’ve taken together, for the respect shown to our people and to Ukraine – and for standing with us not just for political reasons, but because Ireland truly defends the right of nations to live.(Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський)
