I’ve always said my trading strategy is 'indicator-based,' not 'line-drawing-based.' Indicator-based strategies can’t predict resistance or support levels in advance—that’s the specialty of line-drawing strategies. Someone asked again, what’s the difference between indicator-based and line-drawing-based strategies? It’s like going hunting: Line-drawing-based is: The teacher points to a spot 10 kilometers away and says, 'There should be prey there, go hunt!' Indicator-based is: Holding a gun, staying sharp in the jungle, sensing your surroundings, and when prey appears—take the shot!
