The 13 hour violent coercion ultimately resulted in the family losing $1.6 million worth of Bitcoin. A suspect from Hong Kong has been sentenced to 7 years in prison for his involvement in this case. He revealed that he was hired to participate in this crime for a fee of 50000 Canadian dollars. Currently, the other three suspects are still at large.
