Renowned San Francisco tech investor Garry Tan shared surveillance footage on X platform and called on the public to assist in tracking the suspect. Tan suggests that self custody of encrypted assets may seem like a good idea, but it's not always the case, and it's recommended to store long-term held assets in a vault (such as Coinbase or elsewhere) for the safest option. The police stated that no one has been arrested yet and the investigation is still ongoing.
