**[Oracle's Stock Plummets, Ellison Drops to Third on Billionaire List, Page Rises to Second]**
Golden Finance reports that Oracle founder Larry Ellison has recently experienced a significant decline in wealth, losing $130 billion during weeks of consecutive stock price drops. This has caused his ranking on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index to fall from second to third globally. Meanwhile, Google co-founder Larry Page has risen to second place globally for the first time, with assets totaling $256.9 billion, trailing only Elon Musk.
This reversal is particularly dramatic. Just two months ago, Oracle's stock surged 36% in a single day in September, driven by optimistic expectations for the growing demand for AI cloud infrastructure. Ellison's assets increased by $89 billion in a single day, briefly surpassing Musk to become the world's richest person. However, the good times did not last, as Oracle's stock subsequently fell 39% from its historical peak, experiencing six consecutive weeks of decline, with the latest closing price at $198.76.
In stark contrast, Google's performance has been strong. Thanks to positive market feedback on its new model Gemini 3, Google's stock has risen 58% this year and increased another 3.5% in the latest trading session. Multiple institutions have pointed out that Gemini 3's reasoning capabilities and generative performance have significantly improved, potentially narrowing the gap between Google and its major competitors in large model performance. Larry Page, who owns approximately 6% of Google, has seen his assets grow by $88.6 billion in 2025. Co-founder Sergey Brin has also seen substantial gains this year, ranking fifth globally with $239.9 billion in assets.
Elon Musk remains firmly at the top of the global billionaire list with $421.8 billion.
