EL-ERIAN WARNS MARKETS ON WILLIAMS’ DOVISH REMARKS Economist Mohamed El-Erian cautioned markets not to overreact to NY Fed President John Williams’ comments suggesting a near-term rate cut. He noted that Fed Chair Powell still faces a tough fight to unify the FOMC ahead of December 11. Boston Fed’s Susan Collins signaled skepticism, saying policy is “in the right place.” Meanwhile, Wall Street edged higher, with tech shares stabilizing after Thursday’s selloff.(*Walter Bloomberg)
