CHART OF THE WEEK: As of the time of writing, 40% of Ethereum nodes are signaling for a higher block gas limit. This percentage also indicates the share of nodes that are likely to have upgraded to Fusaka mainnet-ready client releases, as the default block gas limit in those releases is 60 million gas. As more nodes upgrade in preparation for the Fusaka mainnet activation on December 3, signaling for a block gas limit increase will strengthen and soon result in 33% larger Ethereum blocks on mainnet.
