The wear and tear on the U Card mainly comes from top-ups and currency exchanges. Starting yesterday, Bitget Wallet will first deduct these fees and then refund them, so for users, the actual usage results in zero wear and tear. Early bird users get a 600U zero-fee quota per month, while regular users get 400U. Since international cards waive third-party fees for transactions under 200 in mainland China, this amount is more than enough to cover small monthly expenses like groceries, dining, and coffee. Currently, this U Card only supports USDC top-ups on Arb, and any extra USDC can be placed in the wallet for financial management. At the moment, Bitget Wallet offers a 10% annualized subsidy for amounts under 10,000U on Base, which is pretty decent, with the underlying funds transparently stored on-chain in AAVE.
