The Government is implementing a targeted program to support businesses in disaster-affected communities so that they can quickly resume operations. This includes providing generators, refrigeration equipment, communication devices such as Starlink units, and in some cases limited repair assistance. These supports may be structured as grants or loans, and the final approach is now being worked out. This initiative is being coordinated closely with the private sector, led by Mr. Keith Duncan, to restore commercial activity and rebuild supply chains in impacted communities.(Andrew Holness)
