As a former federal prosecutor let me present the case of indisputable facts: 1) MA is dead last - 50 out 50 states in housing affordability (a staggering 106% higher than the national average); 2) MA households pay nearly double for the same electricity usage as other households across the nation; 3) MA residents pay over 70% higher natural gas bills than the national average; 4) groceries are 20-30% higher than the national average; 5) MA is the single most expensive state in the country for child care costs; 6) MA ranks dead last - 50 out of 50 states - in private sector job growth; 7) homelessness has increased 74% year over year; 8) 1.1 million people are living on food stamps (almost 16% of the total population); 9) we’ve lost hundreds of thousands of workers in the prime of their working lives because they can’t afford to live here; 10) we’ve taken in tens of thousands of illegal migrants costing over 4 billion dollars, over-stressing our infrastructure. It is formula for bankruptcy as hundreds of towns and cities have been forced to vote for overrides. These are the facts and they ARE NOT in dispute.
