Yesterday, I mentioned the reason why edgeX is working on V2—it’s to transition from a single product to an entire platform ecosystem. Just finished reading the official announcement, and it seems I’ve gained a deeper understanding of their future plans.
If edgeX only focuses on perpetuals, then the current speed is sufficient. But if they’re building a complete financial ecosystem? Then speed, scalability, and stability won’t be enough.
Perpetuals might just be the starting point for edgeX. According to the official announcement, there will be spot trading, vaults, AMM, strategy pools, lending, insurance, and more. I haven’t studied these areas yet, so I’ll need to deepen my knowledge. They even mentioned that third parties could use their modules to create their own products—that’s pretty interesting.
So edgeX isn’t just the product we see now; it seems they’re aiming to build trading infrastructure, right? As always, Web3 evolves so fast—what’s true today might change tomorrow. Stay true to your original intentions, keep learning endlessly, and remember, the knowledge in your brain is something no one can take away.
