According to Glassnode data, since the end of October, Giant Whale has been continuously attracting funds, and the number of addresses holding over 1000 BTC has significantly increased since Friday.
On October 27th, when BTC prices reached a high of $114000, the number of Giant Whale wallets fell to an annual low of 1354. But as of Monday this week, the number has rebounded 2.2% to 1384, reaching a four month high. At the same time, Glassnode indicators show that small investors holding more than one BTC may be one of the sources of selling pressure, with the total number of such wallets continuously decreasing from 980577 on October 27th to a new annual low of 977420 on November 17th.
This confirms the typical pattern of the cryptocurrency market, where when retail investors panic and sell during a sharp decline, whales often take the opportunity to raise funds. Markus Thielen, founder of 10X Research, stated that there is still some selling pressure from whales and emphasized that the Federal Reserve's FOMC meeting on October 29th has a profound impact on the current market. The meeting statement broke the fragile balance between buying and selling, which is the balance between selling super whales holding 1000-10000 BTC and buying whales holding 100-1000 BTC. Although Super Whale is taking on some sell orders, the net traffic data on the 30th shows that sell orders still dominate. (BlockBeats)
