Previously, when @SeiNetwork was mentioned, everyone would say: 'Oh, that super-fast chain? Heard of it, but too lazy to look into it.' I felt the same way back then, just thought of it as a niche, small-cap project to mess around with: Fast chain, low fees, and the ecosystem is growing, but the biggest problem was ordinary people had no idea where to buy it, and many didn’t even want to register on a new exchange. A couple of days ago, I saw that SEI officially launched on OKX. This changes everything about SEI’s positioning. OKX is the kind of exchange where, if you randomly ask a few people in Japan or Southeast Asia, chances are, they already have it installed on their phones. In other words, from now on, buying SEI is as simple as saying: 'Just open OKX and search for SEI.' For a public blockchain, this means three things: 1. The funding gateway just got wider Before, it was like, 'First, register on some small exchange, then deposit funds, and then look for SEI.' Now it’s, 'You’re already using OKX, just buy SEI while you’re at it.' 2. The vibe has changed SEI used to feel like a tech stock that only insiders played with. Now that it’s on OKX, it feels more like it’s passed a round of market vetting, certified as a foundational infrastructure by a mainstream exchange. 3. The story is easier to tell From now on, whether it’s RWA, AI, blockchain gaming, or DEXs moving to SEI, you can just say, 'The project is on SEI, and you can buy SEI directly on OKX.' It’s way easier for project teams to pitch their story, and institutions have a ready-made entry point to build their positions. For me personally, my feelings have changed too: Before, when I talked about SEI with friends, there was this niche, exclusive vibe of 'you can’t get in on this.' Now, I actually feel more comfortable— This chain is finally standing in a position where global users can easily access it. When a public blockchain isn’t just surviving on-chain but also secures a spot on a major exchange, it’s no longer just a 'coin.' It’s starting to move into the 'foundational infrastructure' track.
