[U.S. House of Representatives to Vote on Whether to Release Epstein Case Investigation Documents as Early as Tuesday]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, the U.S. House of Representatives may vote as early as Tuesday local time on whether to release investigation documents related to the sexual assault case of the late businessman Jeffrey Epstein. U.S. President Trump, who had consistently opposed the release of such documents, changed his stance on Sunday local time, posting that House Republicans should vote to decide whether to release the Epstein case documents, emphasizing that there is nothing to hide. Trump also accused the Democrats of deliberately stirring up discussions about the Epstein case in an attempt to divert public attention.
The Republicans hold 219 seats in the House, constituting a majority. A Democratic congressman stated that at least 40 Republicans are expected to vote in favor of releasing the documents. However, the bill still needs to be submitted to the Senate for a vote, so whether the Epstein case documents can ultimately be fully disclosed remains uncertain.
