Namechain, the ZK rollup built for @ensdomains, is being deployed as a based rollup using Surge, Nethermind’s rollup framework built on the @taikoxyz stack. ENS leads the vision for Namechain. Nethermind provides the core infrastructure stack, from the Nethermind Client and Surge to the systems that keep the network running in production. Namechain is launching as a Stage 1 based rollup, aligned with Ethereum’s liveness and decentralization – and is built with a clear upgrade path toward Stage 2 trust-minimized operation.
