LAST YEAR I PUBLICLY STATED MA IS LIKELY THE MOST CORRUPT STATE IN THE COUNTRY.
I wasn’t wrong. The last several years alone make the case for me.
We have a @MassGovernor who literally made it a law that homeowners couldn’t sue her longtime friend’s company, BlueHub, despite BlueHub’s predatory behavior, especially against low-income families in underserved communities.
Healey appointed her ex-lover to the state’s highest court and acted annoyed if anyone questioned the conflict of interest.
An aide to Governor Healey got busted for having cocaine delivered right to her office.
State Rep Chris Flanagan, under Healey's watch, was arrested on federal wire fraud charges for a scheme involving fake records and kickbacks.
City Councilor Tania Fernandes Anderson was nabbed by the FBI for public corruption-funneling part of a seven-grand bonus to a staffer as a kickback, and pled guilty.
The ongoing Mass State Police bribery mess exploded in 2024 with four troopers charged for taking bribes to rig commercial driver's license tests.
The no-bid contracts scandal in Healey's administration in 2023, where millions went to political donors without competitive bidding.
Suffolk County Sheriff Patrick Glynn, a Healey appointee, got arrested in August 2025 on federal fraud charges for a kickback scheme with contractors at the jail.
Under Mayor Wu, that City Hall workplace harassment scandal blew up in 2024 with multiple staffers accused of retaliation and cover-ups which led to a federal probe.
Boston Councilor Russ Choma faced ethics probes for undisclosed conflicts with developers, but it escalated in 2024 when he was fined for accepting improper gifts.
Let’s not forget the 2024 indictment of former Healey donor and state contractor Brian Kyes on bribery charges for funneling money through fake PACs to influence housing deals - which ties right back to Haley’s donors.
The 2025 arrest of a top Wu aide for embezzling from a city grant program meant for immigrant services.
The ongoing 2025 no-bid contract scandal under Healey - an audit revealed 14M in shady deals to political allies for emergency shelter contracts, with at least two vendors now under FBI investigation.
If you want a case study in MA backroom shady politics, look at the AppleGreen contract - the state bypassed Global Partners, a local company, with a much better bid, to reward a foreign-connected insider with zero transparency, potentially costing taxpayers nearly 1B.
The above is just a few examples of the rampant corruption inside MA.
Now consider: 72% of voters demanded a state audit - it is the law. But those in power refuse to comply with the law. Why isn’t @EdMarkey or @maura_healey using their voices to force the audit? Because they know it will reveal even more ongoing corruption inside MA and the one-party rule that governs this state.
If those in government refuse to allow an audit the reason is simple: they don’t want taxpayers and voters to learn the truth. And the truth is corruption.
