According to Caixin, the 60,000+ Bitcoins seized by the UK government from Chinese pyramid scheme leader Qian Zhimin are now worth far more than the 48 billion RMB owed to victims as compensation. Whether Chinese victims will only get back their principal or also receive a share of the gains remains a complex legal issue. The UK Chancellor of the Exchequer stated that the funds might be used to help fill public finance gaps. The report revealed that Qian Zhimin first learned about Bitcoin in 2012, with the ambitious goal of one day owning 210,000 Bitcoins, which would account for 1% of the total Bitcoin supply—and she nearly achieved it. Qian Zhimin hid in the UK for five years but was eventually caught by UK police after her Bitcoin wallet funds were traced to Binance. https://www.(wublock123.com)/index.php?m=content&c=index&a=show&catid=47&id=51944
