This morning, I scanned the x402 protocol landscape and still have high hopes for DREAMS @daydreamsagents in the AI agent payment and agent economy space. DREAMS focuses on building programmable micropayment infrastructure, enabling instant settlement and trust layers (like ERC-8004) between agents. It has already achieved high-frequency transactions (390K+ transactions) on Base and Solana. In comparison, PayAI leans more toward AI infrastructure, but token migration has caused liquidity instability, while Ping shows x402 platform potential but faces volatility due to whale sell-offs.
1. DREAMS has stronger developer activity and deeper technical framework: DREAMS boasts 6.8k+ GitHub commits, supports multi-chain frameworks (ETH/Base/Solana/Starknet/Hyperliquid), and integrates Lucid Agents 1.3.0 and MCP protocol, enabling drag-and-drop agent construction and persistent memory. This far surpasses PayAI’s single infrastructure and Ping’s initial x402 platform.
2. DREAMS leads in actual adoption rate and transaction volume: As the top protocol for x402 agent micropayments, it has processed 389K transactions, second only to Coinbase, and supports EIP-3009 authorized transfers and HTTP 402 instant settlements. This demonstrates stronger ecosystem stickiness compared to PayAI’s market rebound and Ping’s buy pressure.
I believe DREAMS will soon pull ahead of the others.
