This is dumb. Literally none of these people were relevant to Bitcoin, nor are they cryptographers. Most of them are conmen that latched on to that ecosystem later. Epstein’s donation to MIT media lab, went to a group called “Bitcoin Core” that contributed open source code - but did not make, nor run, nor foster the adoption of Bitcoin. Russian money was also late to crypto outside of dev circles, because Eastern Europe already had so many OTC alternative payment options. Look there is a lot wrong in crypto, there are grifters and criminals, but there is also important underlying technology that was made by some of the best open source cryptographers of our generation. To espouse bs claims like this, shows how little you know about crypto, the tech, how the federal reserve works, and the actual policy problems crypto has. This is why the Dems have had poor footing on crypto, as uninformed asshats try and throw the baby out with the bathwater. You could solve 90% of the problems in the space, with the right type of policy, that most on crypto would agree with.
