To be honest, with this kind of price action from Bitcoin, I wouldn’t have even glanced at it before, let alone tried to catch the bottom. I used to short every single bounce because it was clearly in a distribution phase. Without any major news driving the drop, when the U.S. stock market goes up, Bitcoin doesn’t move; when the U.S. stock market drops, Bitcoin crashes hard. This time, I purely wanted to change my mindset about trading crypto, because going long is supposed to be the most profitable. But I still got wrecked! It tied up a huge chunk of my funds and affected my ability to farm altcoins. The pullbacks over the past couple of days were all courtesy of BTC… No need to force myself to change my trading style anymore. If I make money on this trade, I probably won’t want to touch Bitcoin again.
