[Mizuho Securities Maintains 'Underperform' Rating on Circle Stock, Lowers Target Price to $70]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, Mizuho Securities has maintained its 'Underperform' rating on Circle stock. The company's analysts have lowered the base target price from $84 to $70. Circle's stock (ticker symbol: CRCL) was trading at approximately $82 on Friday, having dropped nearly 40% over the past month.
In a research report, Mizuho Securities analysts stated: 'We believe the company's valuation fails to adequately reflect the key risks to its mid-term profitability.' The analysts also pointed out potential risks, including 'the upcoming interest rate cuts, relatively stagnant economic growth, high (and rising) operating costs, and the increasingly fierce competition among stablecoins.'
