[France Has Lifted the Travel Ban on Telegram Founder Pavel Durov]
According to Cryptopolitan, France has lifted the travel ban on Telegram founder Pavel Durov, allowing him to move freely during the ongoing criminal investigation into his communication platform. In 2024, Durov was first arrested in Paris and formally investigated for alleged involvement in criminal activities on the Telegram platform. Initially, he was prohibited from leaving France, but in July this year, the court allowed him to travel to Telegram's headquarters in the UAE for up to two weeks at a time. This week, in light of Durov's 'full compliance' with judicial obligations, French judicial authorities have completely lifted the travel ban. Currently, during the ongoing investigation, he is free to reside in the UAE and travel without prior authorization.
