The once super popular privacy-focused project in the crypto space, @aztecnetwork, is now doing a presale to cash out. Aztec previously raised over $100M in funding led by top VCs like a16z and Paradigm. Looks like Aztec sees this as the last chance to cash out. Instead of going straight to exchanges where no one might buy, they’ve switched to a presale model to raise funds? After checking out the presale rules, I’m personally not very interested: 1. They’re using a CCA on-chain auction mechanism in collaboration with Uniswap. FDV is over $300M, and Aztec’s token price is $0.03. 2. Token distribution: 15% of total supply for public auction; 1.93% for sequencer sales; 2.44% for future bilateral sales; team/VCs hold 48%. 3. Participation eligibility: Early contributors (node operators, OG users, community members) get exclusive 1-day priority bidding starting November 13, 2025, 15:00 CET. - Public users: Open from December 2-6, 2025. - Whitelist includes over 300,000 wallets (contributors and random Uniswap traders). Available to everyone except UK residents. 4. Note: Tokens from the presale will unlock after a minimum of 90 days, with a maximum of 12 months (governance voting can reduce this to 3 months). 5. KYC is required. A privacy-focused project asking for identity verification? Seriously??? I tried ZKpassport multiple times and still couldn’t pass. I give up! Steps to participate, for those who want to give it a shot: 1. Visit https://sale.aztec.network. 2. Connect your wallet and mint an NFT to verify eligibility. 3. Place your bid (in ETH) and track token inflow in real-time. 4. After the auction, withdraw and stake your tokens. Early contributors get a 1-day head start to grab tokens at a lower price. Rumor has it that 300,000 addresses are eligible. Is this the revival of privacy or just the project team’s last chance to cash out? Is the CCA collaboration with Uniswap a DeFi innovation or a new way to cash out? No airdrops for the OG community and contributors, but instead, we have to pay to help the team cash out? I’m lost in endless thoughts!
