📈 BOFA: INSTITUTIONAL INVESTORS BUYING THE DIP IN U.S. STOCKS
Bank of America says institutional clients were net buyers of U.S. equities last week, led by 4.3 billion in ETF inflows — the biggest since December 2022 — even as they sold 2.6 billion in individual stocks.
Institutions were the only net buyers, while hedge funds and retail investors sold. Sector flows showed a defensive tilt, with outflows from Tech and Communication Services and inflows into Staples and Health Care.
BofA noted institutions have replaced retail investors as the main dip buyers this year, as corporate buybacks remain below typical seasonal levels.(*Walter Bloomberg)
