[Goldman Sachs Forecast: S&P 500 Index Annual Return Rate to Reach 6.5% Over the Next 10 Years] BlockBeats News, November 12, Goldman Sachs strategists predict that returns from the U.S. stock market over the next decade will slightly lag behind global markets. Analyst Peter Oppenheimer and his team recommend that investors diversify their portfolios outside of the U.S., as the high valuation of U.S. stocks limits returns. Goldman Sachs strategists estimate that the S&P 500 Index will achieve an annual return rate of 6.5% over the next 10 years, the weakest among all regions. Emerging markets are expected to perform the strongest, with an annual return rate of 10.9%. After a decade of sustained outperformance driven by a surge in tech stocks and the AI boom, the S&P 500 Index has risen 16% this year, while MSCI's global index (excluding the U.S.) has risen 27%. Strategists anticipate that future returns in emerging markets will be driven by strong earnings growth in China and India. Japan's annual return rate is expected to reach 8.2%, while Europe is projected to deliver an annual return rate of 7.1% for investors. (Jin10)
