Yesterday afternoon's drop until today might be due to reduced liquidity caused by the U.S. Veterans Day holiday on Tuesday. On this day, the U.S. stock market is open, but the bond market is closed, which could have impacted the market that is currently highly sensitive to liquidity.
At the same time, the holiday on Tuesday and the U.S. government shutdown led to air traffic controllers leaving their posts, causing large-scale flight cancellations and delays. House Speaker Mike Johnson has notified members that voting on the appropriations bill sent by the Senate will begin this Wednesday (Eastern Time) at around 4 PM.
This means voting won't start until Thursday morning at 5 AM Beijing time. Hang in there.
The House Republicans currently hold the majority (about 219 seats), so as long as there’s no internal bargaining for small group interests, tomorrow’s vote should pass, and Trump will definitely sign it quickly.
Waiting for the bill to pass and for the U.S. to resume operations on Thursday morning Beijing time. Right now, it’s the darkest hour—time to position at the lows.
